In less than 45 minutes as we arrive at the tip of the Floridian Peninsula, and you will begin enjoying one of the world’s most visually stunning drive.  Mainland Miami comes to an end and the beginning of the Overseas Highway 127.5 miles begin.


The Overseas Highway, a feat of architecture begun 100 or so years ago, will cross the open ocean before you, separating the immense Gulf of Mexico from the gigantic Atlantic Ocean, as it connects the dozens of Florida Keys or islands by means of 42 bridges or so on a trip worth bragging about.  


The Seven Mile Bridge that connects Marathon Key to Little Duck Key is one of the world’s longest bridges and is continuously featured in popular movies like True Lies and 007 James Bond and multiple tv series.  So get your camera ready to catch a few shots of this memorable part of your trip.


Some Highlights on the way on board this  Key West Tour:


In Key Largo, the John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park is an amazing underwater water that houses the only living coral reef in the Unites States.  


In Islamorada, Theatre of the Sea is a marine park with nature friendly tours and swimming with dolphins programs.


In Marathon, by all means consider Sombrero Beach, it’s one the best beaches anywhere.


In Big Pine Key, the No Name Pub covered from floor to ceiling with $1 bills and the highest stools on any bar anywhere, and the freely roaming Key Deer unafraid of tourists snapping pictures.


Of course Little Torch Key, Ramrod Key, Sugarloaf, and Stock Island Key have all great places to drink, dine, and absorb mind-numbing views of the all encompassing ocean.


The last stop will be Key West.  Key west is the last island at end of this amazing string of islands we call the Florida Keys.   It is the largest  of the islands you have observed so far on your Key West Tour and it is definitely the most populated.  This city is the southernmost city in the United States and you will be amazed to know that this city is closer to Cuba than it is to Miami.

There’s option for  Jet Ski, snorkeling, and parasailing.  Of course if you prefer to stay dry, there the Glass Bottom Boat where you can appreciate world’s third largest coral reefs from the inside comfort of a vessel. This reef is 160 miles long.


You may take the Old Town Trolley Tour for Key West’s finest tour with 12 stops and 100 points of interest among which you may find President Truman’s Little White House, Key West Shipwreck Treasures Museum, and the Southernmost Point in Continental USA.


Also, Mallory Square filled with souvenir stands, jugglers, and artisans of every type mark the center of touristic areas in Key West, and Hemingway’s Home and Museum will appeal to many, not to mention the dozens of bars like Sloppy Joes and JImmy Buffets’s Margaritaville that are flocked every night.
